Every Monday, High Art Sesh transforms a corner of downtown Santa Barbara into an open-air painting studio.
Whether you’ve never picked up a paintbrush or you’ve been creating for years, you’ll learn contemporary painting techniques in a relaxed, welcoming environment led by Santa Barbara artist Marlyn.
This isn’t a paint-and-sip class where everyone copies the same picture.
You’ll learn how to build your own painting through color, composition, layering, mark making, and creative decision-making. Every canvas is different because every artist is different.

About High Art Sesh
High Art Sesh is an art studio first.
Adults 21 and over are welcome to bring their own cannabis if they choose, provided it follows our session guidelines.
No pressure.

Please register before the session. No walk-ins.
Art Sessions take place at shared picnic tables.
Please help us create a welcoming environment for everyone attending.
Participants must be 21 years or older.
$69 per person

A Public Artwork in Progress
Throughout the season, Marlyn will also be creating a large-scale public artwork just steps away from the studio.
Painting Session participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process as the piece evolves week by week.
